The Craft

From hide to home.

  1. 01 — Tanning

    Hide

Hides are vegetable-tanned over eighteen months in small Tuscan tanneries, developing the grain and character no synthetic can fake.

  2. 02 — Framing

    Frame

Kiln-dried oak is cut, doweled and corner-blocked by hand — no staples, joints built to outlast the upholstery.

  3. 03 — Upholstery

    Build

Eight-way hand-tied springs and natural-fibre padding are layered before the hide is cut, stretched and stitched panel by panel.

  4. 04 — Finishing

    Finish

Each piece is hand-buffed, inspected under daylight-balanced light, and signed by the upholsterer who built it.
